Alemany Farmer's Market on a balmy Saturday morning. I tried to take photos. But, once again...my fatness got the best of me. Before I knew it, there was green salsa on my sunglasses, hanging from the collar of the shirt.
Oh well.
These tamales are damn good, some of the best I've had in the city. And for only $2.75 a piece, $5 for two, even better. I had the red mole pork tamale and me lad got the green pork, we shared each and topped them with red and green salsa. Enough heat to get the juices flowing, but not so much that you have to keep eating because the pain is so brutal. "Just keep eating it and it'll be ok."
Almost everyone was standing around this vendor, ignoring the poor Fava woman nearby, washing the tamales down with a Tamarindo Jarrito.
Definite mood improver on a freakishly hot Saturday morning at 9am.
