Pine State Biscuits...

Can we please find the sole person who created the biscuit and give that person some proper head? I mean, who knew this thing would end up in something called the Reggie? A fried chicken breast sandwiched between the two flakiest, softest, pillow-y biscuits and then topped with sausage gravy. By the way, what is going on with Portland's obsession with biscuits and gravy? Haha.

The lad and I had a big breakfast, but since we found ourselves in this neighborhood, we just had to toss down a biscuit down thee old goblets. So, we opted to split a simple fried chicken breast nestled between a biscuit. He said it was some of the best fried chicken he'd had in a long time, I agreed. He said it was one of the better biscuits he had in a long time, I agreed. And by agreeing, I mean my continuation to chew, smiling and nodding while he did all the speaking. The chicken had real flavor, lots of pepper (which I like), seasoned well and maybe some paprika? The inside of that delicious and perfect crispiness was a super juicy breast. Hmm, that's a double entendre waiting to happen.

Did I mention there's a constant line out the door? We came at the perfect time, because there was no line.
